Her expertise in literally every aspect of show production and management is unsurpassed in her industry. She has instituted and/or managed over 400 expositions and large-scale events in her career and with each passing year, nothing gets in her way of pursuing bigger, better and more promising events, venues, and attractions in the trade show industry. Simon and company are experts at operating trade shows that invite specific industry exhibitors to bring their products and services to the exhibitors’ customers for a one-on-one buying and selling experience.
Kelly’s largest and most established show is the Pittsburgh Fire Rescue & EMS Expo which celebrates its 25th Anniversary in 2012. Kelly’s father, Jack Simon was a volunteer firefighter for 59 years and the Pennsylvania State Fire Commissioner from 1990 - 1995. Her grandfather was also a firefighter for over 50 years. Kelly is very passionate about every show in her business but the fire and rescue shows hold a special place in her heart. She follows in her family’s footsteps and is dedicated to fire safety, prevention and education.
She is responsible for management of the exhibit space sales and administrative personnel, new business development and overall management of the financial aspects of the business. She particularly excels in the promoting of the expos and events, making sure that through the most opportune advertising media, she leads both exhibitors and attendees to believe that Kelly Simon Trade Shows just can’t be missed. As she approaches her 30th year in business, Kelly Simon states, “Sure, social media makes people’s lives easier. However, there is simply no substitute for human contact. Meeting people, shaking hands and making eye contact is still the key to building relationships and networking. Make your connections “the old fashioned way”, face-to-face at our trade shows and build solid, lasting relationships.”
